05/17/2006: Released version 2.4 of GamePad Companion which adds support for Intel based Macs and also improves support with Bluetooth devices. This version should be used with Mac OS X 10.4 or later. 04/26/2005: Released version 2.3 of GamePad Companion which adds support for Mac OS X 10.4(Tiger). There are also a couple of bug fixes in this release, see the release notes contained in the installed preference panel for all the specifics. 01/23/2004: Released version 2.2 of GamePad Companion which adds support for Mac OS X 10.3(Panther). There are also a couple of bug fixes in this release, see the release notes for all the specifics. 08/25/2002: Released version 2.1 of GamePad Companion which adds support for Mac OS X 10.2(Jaguar). There are also a couple of bug fixes in this release, including better demo timeout logic that will keep the demo from expiring defore it is installed. Hatswitch support and mouse button mapping have also both been improved. In addition, when used with OS X 10.2, this release also adds support for controlling mice and for controlling some Saitek devices that previously did not work. 05/04/2002: Released version 2.0.3 of GamePad Companion which fixes a couple of bugs reported in 2.0, inculding problems using multiple devices, installing but not having the preference show up in the System Preferences, and certain supported devices not being recognized. Version 2.0.3 also has improved hatswitch support and better Spanish language localizations. 04/10/2002: Version 2.0 of GamePad Companion released! GamePad Companion is now a preference panel that is controlled using the OS X System Preferences application. You no longer have to launch GamePad Companinon everytime you want to use your gaming device. Just set it up once in the GamePad Comapnion preference panel, then turn it on, and from that point on anytime you plug in your gaming device it will just start working. Other new features since version 1.2 include help tips to improve ease of use, and a "test" feature that allows you to test your settings before turning them on for good. There are also a number of bug fixes in this release to address crashes that some users were experiencing. 12/17/2001: Version 1.2 released! This new version adds the the ability to use your gaming device to control the mouse cursor, mouse buttons, and scroll wheel. It also now includes an auto-fire option as well as the option to turn off key-repeat. GamePad Companion 1.2 also has better filtering so that unwanted device elements do not show up in the element pop-up. Multi-Device support now works with two devices that are of the same model. Version 1.2 also adds auto detection of added/removed devices, as well as auto detection of selecting control elements when configuring a device. Along with all of these changes, version 1.2 has a new and improved user interface. Check out all these great changes today! 11/07/2001: Version 1.1 released! This version adds support for saving multiple configurations, so now you don't have to set up your controller over and over again when switching between different games.
